Wednesday 14th December 2022 at Reading Town Hall a charity event for Launchpad saw a wonderful night of Christmas Carols and very charitable a public
Family and friends and a few well-known Celebrities that attended the Christmas 2022 Reading ‘Carol by Candlelight’ event all helped to raise an amazing £19,526 for the homeless charity Launchpad.

Held this year at the magnificent Concert Hall in Reading Town Hall and hosted by Launchpad patrons, Matt Allwright and Danyl Johnson, there were sing-along carols performed by the joyful Reading Community Gospel Choir, readings by special guests, and inspiring stories about Launchpad work with people in a housing crisis – all against the backdrop of magical candlelight.The stars of the show were Bulmershe School choir as well as attendees including Chris Tarrant

Help for Readings Homeless
Every ticket sold that evening will help Launchpad provide homes for Reading’s most vulnerable this winter. Launchpad-supported housing offers warm, clean and safe accommodation for up to 104 people in need – which will be a lifeline to the many individuals, couples, and families due to being made homeless by the rise in the cost of living over the coming months.
Launchpad is Reading’s leading homelessness prevention charity, providing vital information and support for individuals, couples, and families who don’t have a stable place to live or are at risk of losing their homes. The charity is a lifeline and one that will see ordinary people who become homeless or risk losing their homes due to the cost of living crisis
Last year they helped over 1,100 people in a housing crisis in Reading to get back on their feet.
