Sunday 23rd April, 9.30am – A major power outage has affected the North Block of the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading as well as the Accident and Emergency Department. The A&E department is currently closed and people are being advised to use the NHS 111 phone number, the local pharmacy or go to the walk-in centre in Broad Street in Reading.
A hospital spokesperson told My Wokingham (0915) Sunday morning that the battle block and the A&E departments were closed due to flooding, leading to a major power outage. Currently, ambulances are being directed to Wexham Park Slough. Royal Berkshire Fire & Rescue Service have also attended the hospital.

The Urgent Care Centre in Broad Street Mall, Reading, opens at 8am today for minor illnesses and has walk in appointments until 8pm. your local pharmacists can also help.”
