Debate where Protestor insists that Drag Queen Story Hour is the sexualisation of children
We ask protestors and supporters their views on the Drag Queen Story Hour Event that took place at Wokingham Libraries on Wednesday 24th August 2022. The interview reveals the strong feelings between the protestors and supporters of the event which has caused controversy in the borough. During the video supporter, Ashlyn Skeet explains that the event was a positive one helping children develop a passion for reading and for them to learn more about diversity and inclusion. On the other hand, Michael Manoel Chaves explains that a Drag Queen is a fantastic form of entertainment for nightclubs and stag do but not appropriate for children.
The interviews took place at Lower Earley Library where one protestor was arrested for their behaviour
