Pete Laschok from The Highwasters has organised a bit of a March of the Mods reunion at the Face Bar in Reading on Saturday 24th June.
The charity event is in aid of humanitarian aid for Ukraine, with a spectacular line-up that’s not to be missed including the TR5’s, Contraband, Brick Top, Syn City Rockers, Rigsby, Skavangers and The Skangsters.
Pete works as a carer by day in the Wokingham area and is a drummer by night for the well known local band, The Highwasters.
The Highwasters have a mission – to get brilliant live music in your ears. They love playing ska, two-tone and punk stuff from the late 70s and 80s, a smattering of more modern stuff and one or two of their own tunes.
Peter’s late mum and dad come from the Ukraine and this weekend he is staging the big charity gig, the second he has put together for the people of Ukraine.
Nearly all the tickets have been sold but you may be able to pay on the door. Tickets are priced £10. Doors open at 12 noon with a great local live music line-up for the whole day.
