Police Officers searching for missing man Simeon, aged 22, in Reading have very sadly located a body in the river Thames near to Caversham Bridge.
Although formal identification has yet to take place, they believe this to be Simeon. His family have been made aware and are being offered support at this time.
The man’s death is being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the Berkshire coroner.
The police would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while Caversham Bridge was closed.
Firefighters from Caversham water rescue unit and Berkshire Lowland search and rescue were involved in recovery of this young man’s body found close to Caversham Bridge. Berkshire Lowland Search and Rescue are called out by police for missing people on land and on our rivers.
