The Reading Toy Run will enter its 36th Year, members of the biking community come together and get on their bikes and bring Christmas gifts for children, at High Close School in Wokingham for Barnardo’s.
The bikers dress their bikes and themselves up in Santa outfits and even the odd Christmas tree has been spotted on a motorbike over the years. The Motorbikes meet at the Shire Hall Building in Reading then make their way to Wokingham along Lower Early way along Reading Road Winnersh through Wokingham Town Center to Wiltshire Road.
Toy Run organisers said: “Roads affected are Whitley Wood Lane, Lower Earley Way between The Black Boy Roundabout and The Showcase cinema. The A329 Reading Road between the Showcase and Shute End and Rectory Road and Wiltshire Road to High Close School. These closures will affect traffic on adjacent roads too.”
This great Christmas event is put together by the Reading Christian Motorcyclists people are most welcome to line the route on Sunday and show your support. Over a Thousand bikers will take to the roads in the local area so look out for them.
